CODE ENFORCEMENT REMINDERS (City of Milford)

  • GRASS - It is the responsibility of the owner or tenant to maintain the yard free from weeds or plant growth in excess of 6 inches.
  • VEHICLES - There has been an influx of abandoned or inoperative vehicles.  No inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked, kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of major disassemble or disrepair.
  • SNOW REMOVAL - Property owners and residents must clear snow and ice from sidewalks next to their property within 12 daylight hours after snowfall ends. This requirement also applies to sidewalks in the City right-of-way and ADA curb ramps at intersections. Sidewalks must remain safe, passable, and free of hazards to ensure pedestrian safety.
  • Failure to comply may result in fines.

TRASH RECEPTACLES

There are a few reminders we need to be aware of regarding trash receptacles which are stated in the deed restrictions for the community. Article 5 Section 6 states that all trash receptacles and recycle bins shall be kept in clean, sanitary and enclosed areas, hidden from view, except that they may be placed curbside on the day of collection or after 5:00pm the day prior to collection. Please also make sure to take your receptacles in after collection by 7:00pm.

STOP SIGNS AND COMMUNITY SPEED LIMIT

Lets all be a little more mindful when entering, exiting and travelling through our community. The stop signs located on either side of Landing Dr by the mail center are sometimes being violated and this has resulted in several close calls that could have led to accidents. Also, the speed limit on all streets in the community is 25 MPH.  Please drive carefully and safely.
